LUKE BLAIR, VICE PRESIDENT OF COMMUNICATIONS AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS

Luke runs communications for the leading science and academic instituion Imperial College London, consistently voted one of the best universities in the world.

A former journalist, Luke started his career on local papers in Berkshire and East Anglia before moving to London where he worked in the parliamentary lobby and spent four years on the Evening Standard.

Since leaving journalism, he has worked in consultancy and in house, including as an interim director for a wide range of organisations such as Transport for London, the NHS, and local government.

As well as the British Journalism Awards, Luke has judged awards for the CIPR and PR Week. He is the co-chair of the Exhibition Road Cultural Group, sits on the Advisory Board of the Science Media Centre and has been the trustee of two charities.
